"We came in on a lazy Sunday evening, ordered a cocktail, a pot of beer and half plate of chicken wings, everything was very good; the prices, the Victorian ambience and especially the bar staff, a special shoutout to Jake who was our server. We will definitely be coming back!!"

"Yard bird offers American diner staples with a good selection of beer, set in the beautiful historic Shamrock Hotel. The food is well presented and quite tasty; the brisket is particularly nice. Right in the middle of Charing Cross the hotel has fantastic views of the old post office, law courts and Rosalind Park. Highly recommended."

"All good here, but I thought it was the Shamrock. Initially they were slow to take our order, others being served first ( pet hate ). But to be fair, they fitted us in. Enjoyed the food and wine."

"I ordered the shrimp po boy and while I was impressed with the generous portion of food I received it was night impossible to eat. When something comes in sandwich/roll form you expect the be able to pick it up and eat it but the whole outside of the roll was covered in shrimp sauce and it was poorly packed (for presentation)"

"The barbecue platter is absolutely amazing, and well priced around $30 pp. The spicy wing challenge is beautiful, not being too hot for spice lovers, but maintaining a gorgeous flavour throughout. The only letdown was the beer lines had reportedly split according to staff, causing large amount of head and underwhelming taste for usually great craft beers."

"Awesome food! We had the Philly Cheesesteak burger and Smoked Brisket with Sticky Bourbon Barbecue Sauce. The burger was spot on with the added jalapenos and crispy chips. The brisket was tender and the bourbon sauce really made it amazingly unique. The staff were friendly and the drinks were great. Definitely going back! Thanks :-D"
